Leather where it works, cotton where it doesn't

A crochet-backed glove solves an old problem. Leather grips and lasts, but it does not breathe much, and on a warm day in a car with no air conditioning your hands know about it. So the palm stays leather and the back becomes cotton crochet, which lets air through and stretches with the hand.

It is the classic look for open cars and older ones, and it is the pair our customers come back for more than any other.

Made in deerskin and lambskin, in camel brown, cognac, beige, black and colours to order, all cut and sewn by hand in Târgu Mureș, Transylvania. Sizes are on the sizing chart.

Questions we get asked

Is the crochet cotton or wool?

Cotton. It holds its shape better than wool, it does not itch, and it is what makes the glove cooler rather than warmer — which is the point.

Does the crochet stretch out over time?

It gives with your hand and comes back. Cotton crochet does slacken a little after a few seasons of heavy use, though the leather palm usually decides the life of the glove, not the back.

How do I clean them?

Spot-clean the crochet with a barely damp cloth and let it dry flat at room temperature. Nothing in a washing machine, and nothing near a radiator — heat is what harms the leather palm.
