A Small Family Business
We started NM Gloves with a simple idea: finding the right pair of gloves shouldn’t be hard. Most people settle for something that looks nice but doesn’t fit, doesn’t last, or just doesn’t feel like them.
We wanted to change that.
A Short History
The glove makers of Târgu Mureș
Gloves have been made in Târgu Mureș, in the heart of Transylvania, since 1925. At its height the town’s glove factory employed up to 5,000 people. NM Gloves was founded on 7 October 2024 by Matyas Zsold, a new generation working alongside the glove makers who learned the craft there.
Today more than thirty of those glove makers still work with us. Each one carries a lifetime of experience in their hands: how to read a hide, how to cut it so the glove fits, how to sew a seam that lasts.
NM Gloves today
We work with them to keep that knowledge going: we bring the orders, the leathers and the customers; they bring the skill. Every pair is still cut and sewn by hand in Târgu Mureș, by more than thirty of these experts, and a hand-sewn model can take up to eight hours.
