Deerskin Gloves
If you are buying one proper pair of leather gloves, buy deerskin. It is the best all-round glove leather and our most-worn by a wide margin.
Ours comes from Finland, where the cold climate produces a denser, finer-grained hide. What makes deerskin unusual is that it combines softness with real toughness — most leathers trade one for the other. It is soft from the first wear, naturally breathable, and it resists scuffing better than almost anything else we work with.
It also moulds. A pair worn regularly takes the shape of your hand across the knuckles and the base of the thumb, and then holds it for years. That is why our customers who drive tend to own deerskin.
Across this collection: driving gloves in full-finger and fingerless cuts, crochet-backed pairs for warm weather, and winter gloves lined in cashmere or rabbit fur. Colours run from camel brown, cognac and tan through black, and into shades you will not find elsewhere — orange, yellow, navy with contrast stitching.
Every pair is hand-cut and finished in our workshop in Târgu Mureș, Transylvania, where our family has made gloves since 1925.
