The pair that sells hardest in spring

Every March the orders shift. The winter gloves stop moving and the fingerless ones start, and it is the same customers — people who wear gloves to drive and want to keep doing it when it is 18 degrees out.

They are the same close cut as our driving gloves, with the fingers open past the first knuckle and, on some models, a padded palm for long hours at the wheel or on handlebars.

Questions we get asked

What is the padded palm for?

Vibration, mostly. On a long drive, or on a bike, a thin pad under the heel of the hand takes the edge off what comes up through the wheel or the bars. If you only drive short distances you will not miss it.

Can I use the car's screen with them on?

Yes — that is one of the practical arguments for fingerless now. Your fingertips are bare, so the infotainment screen responds normally.

Crochet back or full leather?

Crochet for heat and airflow, full leather if you want them to look sharper. Both are here, in camel, beige, cognac, black and brighter combinations.

Do they stay on?

If they fit. A fingerless glove has less to hold it, so a loose pair will creep. Buy them close — the sizing chart is measured around the knuckles with the hand half-bent, thumb out.
