Cut close so nothing bunches at the wheel, and thin enough to keep the feel of it.

Made in deerskin, lambskin and peccary, full-finger or fingerless, with crochet backs for warm weather and contrast stitching if you want it. Hand-cut and finished in our workshop in Târgu Mureș, Transylvania.

Why a driving glove is cut differently

A dress glove is cut to look smooth on a still hand. A driving glove is cut for a hand that is holding something, which is a different shape — slightly curled, with the thumb working across the palm. That is why ours are shorter at the wrist, closer through the palm, and why the seams sit where they will not press into the wheel.

It is also why they feel tight when new and right after a week. Nothing is wrong; the leather is finding your hand.

Cut and sewn by hand in our workshop in Târgu Mureș, Transylvania, in deerskin, lambskin and peccary.

Questions we get asked

Won't my hands get hot in summer?

That is what a crochet back is for. The palm stays leather for grip, the back is cotton, and air moves through it. In real heat, fingerless is better still — women's fingerless gloves.

Will the colour come off on a light steering wheel?

Not from our leathers in normal use. If a brand new pair gets caught in heavy rain we would not press a cream wheel with it until it has dried, but that is caution rather than a known problem.

Which size?

Measure around the knuckles with your hand half-bent, thumb out, in centimetres. Women's driving gloves usually land between 6.5 and 8.5, and you want the smaller of two — see the sizing chart.

Can I have them in a colour to match a car?

Yes, and it is one of our more common bespoke requests. Send us the shade you want, or a photo of the interior, and we will tell you honestly how close we can get.
