Not only for driving

These started as a driving glove and then quietly became something else. Customers tell us they wear them cycling, at outdoor markets, in cold offices, walking the dog, and for the whole stretch of spring and autumn when a full glove is too much and no glove is too little.

The idea is simple: keep the back of the hand and the palm covered, leave the fingertips out for anything that needs them.

Cut and sewn by hand in our workshop in Târgu Mureș, Transylvania, in deerskin, lambskin and peccary.

Questions we get asked

Will my hands actually be warm?

Warmer than you would guess, because most heat leaves through the back of the hand rather than the fingers. Through a real winter, though, your fingertips will feel it — that is what winter gloves are for.

Do they work with phones and car screens?

Yes. Bare fingertips register on a touchscreen, which full leather gloves cannot do.

Crochet back or all leather?

A cotton crochet back is cooler and has a softer, more handmade look. All-leather is neater and slightly warmer. Beige, camel and black are always here; anything else we can make.

How close should they fit?

Close. There is less glove to stay put, so a loose pair slips down the fingers. Women's sizes usually run 6.5 to 8.5 — measure around your knuckles with your hand half-bent and check the sizing chart.
