Black peccary, cut fingerless, with red stitching and piping — the rarest glove leather in the lightest cut we make.
The fingerless cut gives direct contact with the wheel and lets the hand breathe, which makes this a warm-weather glove. Peccary is the reason to choose it: extraordinarily soft from the first wear, with no breaking in, and unmistakable once you have felt it.
Peccary comes from Peru, from the wild collared peccary — a South American relative of the pig, not a wild boar. The animals are not farmed and export is quota-limited, so the price reflects genuine scarcity rather than a markup. The grain — hair follicles growing in groups of three — is something no other leather has.
The red stitching and piping give it a sporting edge without tipping into loud. Hand-sewn in our workshop in Târgu Mureș, Transylvania.
