Black peccary, unlined. Nothing between your hand and the leather — which is the point.
Who this is for: anyone who finds most winter gloves too thick to be useful. Unlined peccary is warm enough for autumn, spring and mild winter days, and it gives a level of feel no lined glove can match. Drivers prefer it. So does anyone who resents fumbling for a wallet in gloves.
Unlined is where peccary shows its advantage most directly. Ours comes from Peru — a wild hide from the family Tayassuidae, not pig or boar. It is soft from the first wear, needs no breaking in, and stays supple as the temperature drops. Worn against the skin rather than through a lining, you feel all of that immediately. Hair follicles in groups of three leave the pitted grain that identifies it.
Hand-cut and hand-sewn in our workshop in Târgu Mureș, Transylvania, where our family has made gloves since 1925.
Sizing: take the smaller size if you fall between two. Unlined gloves are meant to sit close, and peccary relaxes into the shape of your hand with wear. Measure around your knuckles, excluding the thumb, and check the sizing chart.
Need more warmth? The same glove is available with a cashmere lining for colder days.
