How Much Do Made-to-Measure Leather Gloves Cost, and How Do You Order Them?

Real prices for made-to-measure leather gloves, what changes the price, and how an order works from the first message to delivery.

Quick answer: At NM Gloves, made-to-measure men's driving gloves start at €110. Peccary driving gloves in your own size and colour cost €230 for men and €280 for women, and our peccary winter glove cut from one piece of leather costs €500. You receive a quote before anything is made; most pairs arrive 8–12 days after you confirm, shipping within the EU is free, and made-to-measure pairs cannot be returned.

Published prices for made-to-measure gloves are hard to find, so it is rarely clear whether a custom pair costs a little more than a shop pair or many times as much. Here are ours, taken from our own shop, with what changes the price and how an order works from the first message to your door. NM Gloves is a leather-glove workshop in Târgu Mureș, Romania, a town that has made gloves since 1925.

Prices as shown in our shop on 7 November 2026; shipping within the EU is free. In its simplest form, then, a made-to-measure pair costs only a little more than one off the shelf: men's bespoke driving gloves start at €110, while our ready-to-wear deerskin driving gloves cost €85.

What changes the price?

  • The leather. Peccary and carpincho cost more than deerskin — the ready-to-wear range shows it: €85 in deerskin, from €150 in carpincho, €190 in peccary.
  • The hand-work. Hand-sewing is available on request and costs more than machine-sewing; depending on the model, a fully hand-sewn pair takes up to eight hours of work.
  • The construction. A glove cut from a single piece of leather, with as few seams as possible, like our one-piece peccary winter glove, costs €500.
  • The lining. Unlined, or lined in cashmere, rabbit fur or silk. In our peccary winter gloves, unlined and cashmere-lined pairs cost €200 and rabbit-fur-lined pairs €210.

The exact price of your pair is in the quote, before you commit to anything.

How does ordering work?

  1. Write to us at info@nmgloves.com or through our contact page: which glove, what you will wear it for and — if you already know — the leather, colour and lining.
  2. Measure your hand. The circumference of your dominant hand around the knuckles, thumb excluded, with the hand half-bent, in centimetres; if your hands differ, measure both. For a custom pair we usually also ask for photographs of your hand and your middle finger. How to measure.
  3. You receive a quote with what is possible, the price and the date it will be ready. Nothing is made until you are happy with all three.
  4. We make your pair — up to five days in our workshop.
  5. Delivery takes 3–7 days within the EU, free and tracked. Outside the EU: €30, free over €200 — €50 to Australia, New Zealand, India and Vietnam; customs duties may apply.

The peccary driving gloves in custom size and colour (men's, women's) can also be ordered directly in the shop; we then guide you through the measuring step by step.

In more detail: how bespoke leather gloves are made, how long a made-to-measure pair takes and bespoke vs ready-to-wear.

When is made to measure worth it?

When your size is not on the chart or falls between two sizes, when your hands differ, when you want a particular colour — to match a coat or the interior of your car — or when a gift should be exactly right. More on our bespoke gloves page.
